Rosaria can pray the Rosary for you out loud, prayer by prayer, all the way through the beads. Put the phone down, listen, and keep the mystery in mind while the voice carries the words.
Every prayer of the Rosary is recorded ahead of time in the app's own voice: the Sign of the Cross, the Creed, the Our Father, the Hail Mary, the Glory Be, the Fatima Prayer, the Hail, Holy Queen and the closing prayer. Nothing is spoken fresh while you listen, so playback begins the moment you press play and runs without a wait.
The voice moves through the whole rosary in order, decade by decade, and the screen keeps pace. The prayer being spoken is shown, and the bead under the voice is marked, so you can follow with your eyes or look away and keep your place. The order itself is written out on the how to pray the Rosary page, and the words of each prayer are gathered on the prayers page.
The voice is kept at three rates: slow, normal and fast. Slow leaves room to say each prayer along with the recording, at about the pace of praying aloud. Normal is a steady walk, the speed most people settle into. Fast is for a short day, to hear a decade through or to finish the rosary before the evening runs out. The rate can be changed at any point, and the prayers themselves never change with it.
There is a second way to pray it that needs no tapping at all. Hands-free voice assist uses the microphone: you pray aloud, and when you stop speaking the app moves to the next prayer on its own. It is meant for driving, for walking, or for lying in the dark with the phone across the room, anywhere the hands are busy and the screen is out of reach.
The mode is off until you turn it on, and it asks for the microphone permission the first time. While it is on, the screen still shows where the voice has reached, so the thread can be picked back up at any point.
A phone or a tablet with working sound, and a pair of earphones if you would rather not be heard. The spoken Rosary is one of the parts of Rosaria that belongs to an account, so signing in is needed to use it. The account is free, and it is the same account that carries your streak, your Bible groups and your saved verses from one device to the next.
Praying the Rosary with the written text, and reading the whole Bible, need no account and stay exactly as they were.
Nothing. Rosaria is free, there is no advertising and no subscription, and the spoken Rosary is included with the free account.
Yes, once the app has been opened. The prayers are recorded and kept on the device, so the spoken Rosary plays offline.
Hands-free mode listens only for whether you are still speaking, so it knows when to move on. It is off unless you turn it on.
Yes. The recording sets the pace and the order. You can pray silently from the text, aloud with the voice, or anywhere in between.
Pray the spoken Rosary in Rosaria
Rosaria reads every prayer aloud at three speeds and can move on by itself when you stop speaking, with the day's mysteries already chosen. Free, and the account it needs is free too.
